New Veteran’s Group to Meet Nov. 11

ERMA — Veterans and active duty, reservists, National Guard and Coast Guard members are invited to attend the first community veterans outreach program sponsored by the Rejuvenation Rehabilitation and Research Center of America (TRRARCOA).
The meeting will be held Thurs., Nov. 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. Doors open at 5:15 p.m. at Seashore Community Church of the Nazarene, 446 Seashore Road. The meeting will feature guest speakers.
Veterans will explain the challenges they face daily and how TRRARCOA and the community can help.Community members are urged to get involved.
The vision of TRRARCOA is to introduce a method of reducing veteran homelessness which can be linked to multiple veteran organizations and organizations with a current similar program which can be initiated in an expedient manner, nationwide.
Another priority is to reduce veteran suicide “the silent killer” by guiding veterans to immediate help; so veterans will re-integrate into their communities, society, at their maximum functional potential taking back their lives.
Other priorities: Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and other maladies. The goal is to assist veterans by guiding them to professional care, utilizing many programs in effect that they might not know about.
Future goals are to provide Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Pet Therapy, Aquatic Therapy, Holistic and Client Centered Therapy, Counseling/Group Therapy (Substance Abuse), Transitional Living Skills (Employment, Housing) and research “alternative methods” of treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
Any of the above listed programs will be provided by professionals; either within the organization or utilization of city, county, community, state, and federal entities to assist clients to reach their maximum functional potential and re-integrated into society and their communities.
