GREEN CREEK – Logan Thrasher, 4, had a wish to pet and feed a pony. His wish came true Jan. 17 when Pembrook Farm in Eldora sent Tigger the pony to Logan, complete with carrots for feeding time.
Thrasher was diagnosed with leukemia two years ago, according to a report on Shore News Today.
While Thrasher and his family were at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) last week, the pipes froze and burst and destroyed most of the belongings in their home, according to a GoFundMe page.
Logan was recently released on hospice and is staying with his grandparents, but has another wish: to go home.
Members of the community took to social media to garner support for the family, including putting out a call for volunteers to help repair Thrasher’s home, which the family hopes to have completed today, Jan. 18, according to the report.
Local businesses like Bayside Builders in Court House volunteered their services as well.
Donations can be made to GoFundMe at https://www.gofundme.com/s7j4gd38.
