Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Program Focuses on ‘Parenting Again’

COURT HOUSE — Rutgers Cooperative Extension Family and Community Health Sciences will hold part two of their “Parenting Again” program for the Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Group on Thurs., April 28 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Cape May County, 355 Court House-South Dennis Road, Cape May Court House, New Jersey.
The program covers a variety of topics for Grandparents including: how to adjust to your new role, taking care of you, reducing stress in your life, personal relationship changes, family relationships, challenges with your adult child, your troubled grandchild, love and limits, and forgiveness.
Childcare will be provided for the grandchildren. A light supper for the grandparents and grandchildren begins promptly at 5:30p.m. and the program will follow at 6p.m. There is no charge for this program, however, advanced registration is required.
Also, Grandparents are invited to continue the conversation on Fri., April 29 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. for “Coffee Fridays.” Grandparents are invited to come learn about some of the resources and support available to them and also share their thoughts and concerns.
