COURT HOUSE – Thirteen donation boxes for Cape Hope, Code Blue Project are in place for those who may wish to assist the homeless. A Code Blue designation is when temperatures dip and homeless persons are about to get sheltered in various buildings.
Cape Hope is a newly-organized group whose aim is to get all homeless into warm, safe quarters when the mercury plummets.

Donation boxes are identified by a poster attached and are prominently displayed in the public area of each building.
A thank you was extended to Bill Miller of Facilities and Services who took the lead in this effort and secured and placed the boxes.
According to Diane Wieland, director of Tourism and Public Information, the county will continue to look for more locations to place the boxes.
