Cape Mediation Services Seeks Volunteers

By Press Release

COURT HOUSE – Community Mediation provides mediation services to disputing parties involved in a variety of neighborhood, business, and community conflicts. Typical problems may include barking dog complaints, contract disputes, business/patron complaints, etc.
Family Mediation is a program that assists separating and divorcing couples. The goal is to formulate a parenting plan and parental responsibilities for their children.
Mediators are not judges and cannot impose fines. The mediators are volunteers who have had at least 40 hours of basic mediation training.  Potential mediators will have to complete an application and background check.
Training is free and will start March 16 to April 11. Training will take place at Stockton University. Upon successful completion of training, the individual will be a volunteer mediator.
If interested or for more information, contact Michele Devine-Hartnett, executive director at 463-0323 or cmcba@comcast.net.
