WILDWOOD — Cape Assist has announced the formation of a Women’s Relapse Recovery Group led by a trained professional therapist.
The group offers support with overcoming the challenges in relapse and recovery relating to parenting, relationships, trauma and abuse and substance abuse.
Sessions are held every Tuesday at the Cape Assist Learning Center, 3819 New Jersey Ave., Wildwood.
The group is designed to focus on issues specific to women’s needs in a compassionate environment. Its goal is to bring women together and help them make connections that will aid in their recovery.
According to a release, it is not a 12-step group, or simply a support group, but a group therapy led by a trained professional.
“Women united are one of the most powerful forces for change,” stated Katie Faldetta, Cape Assist acting director, “Cape Assist wants to help women in need tap into that power.”
For information on attending the group meetings or to join call the intake coordinator at 522-5960. No referrals are required.
The email address is email@capeassist.org.
