American Legion Post 331 Donates Items to Veterans

STONE HARBOR – Just before Christmas, American Legion Post 331, of Stone Harbor, delivered much-needed supplies to veterans at Veteran’s Haven South, a state-run transitional housing program in Winslow.
Veteran’s Haven South provides long-term psychological, social, and vocational rehabilitation programs to help transition homeless veterans into permanent housing.
Post 331 members distributed bedding, trash cans, alarm clocks and bath towels for everyone at the 100-bed facility. They even added some to spare.
The $7,000 in donation materials was paid for with post funds and donations received during a recent fundraiser.
