COURT HOUSE – The Rutgers Cooperative Extension of Cape May County Family and Community Health Sciences (FCHS) Program invites Grandparents Raising Grandchildren to join them for Coffee Fridays. The next get together will take place March 17, 2017. Grandparents meet for coffee and conversation from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Rutgers Cooperative Extension, 355 Court House-South Dennis Road, Cape May Court House, New Jersey 08210. The building is handicap accessible.
Marilou Rochford, FCHS Educator, said, “Coffee Fridays provide grandparents with a chance to meet with other grandparents in a safe and relaxed atmosphere. They can unwind over a cup of coffee while discussing issues and concerns related to raising their grandchildren.” Rochford added, “Taking responsibility for a grandchild can raise many questions.” Grandparents are invited to come learn about some of the resources and support available to them and also share their thoughts and concerns.
Additional Coffees Fridays are planned for April 21, May 19, Sept. 22, Oct. 20, and Nov. 17, 2017.
