‘Perfect Storm’ Cutter Spared Sinking by Rough Seas

CAPE MAY – The sinking of an historic Coast Guard vessel has been delayed due to rough seas, The Press of Atlantic City reports.
The 205-foot USCGC Tamaroa, which was involved in the “Perfect Storm” rescue efforts and also saw action in World War II, was scheduled to become part of an artificial reef 26 miles off the coast of Cape May April 18. 
A rescheduled date has not been set, but could occur late this week at the earliest, the report continued.
