CAPE MAY – The Coast Guard Training Center Cape May will host a presentation by Cmdr. Bill Moeller (USCG Ret.) at 7 p.m., July 13.
Moeller will discuss the inside story of the Coast Guard Cutter Tamaroa’s 1991 rescue effort of a downed Air National Guard helicopter crew, an event featured in Sebastian Junger’s book “The Perfect Storm” and the film of the same name. Having served as a junior officer aboard the Tamaroa at the time, Moeller will share his eye-witness account of this harrowing event.
