Coast Guard Medevac 61 Year-Old Boater Near Wildwood

By Press Release

WILDWOOD- The Coast Guard medically evacuated a boater Saturday, near Wildwood, after the boat she was on ran aground.
A boat crew from Coast Guard Station Cape May arrived on scene and transferred the 61 year-old to awaiting EMS personnel at Schooner Island Marina.
The woman reportedly suffered injuries to her collar bone and back. TowBoat U.S. re-floated the 28 foot boat, which was able to get underway under its own power.
The Coast Guard reminds boaters to wear life jackets, equip their boats with VHF-FM radios and file a float plan.
