Coast Guard Hosts Seminar for Commercial Fishermen

CAPE MAY — John O’Leary, an instructor with the Chesapeake Marine Training Institute, explains the importance of a properly registered Electronic Position Indicating Radio Beacon at a stability and safety seminar for commercial fishermen hosted by U.S. Coast Guard Sector Delaware Bay, out of Philadelphia, in Cape May, N.J., Dec. 16, 2009.
The Coast Guard held the seminar in accordance with Operation Safe Catch, an operation focused on increasing the rate of compliance with safety regulations by interacting with the commercial fishing industry to improve their risk management practice.
