Coast Guard Cutter Assists Disabled Fishing Vessel

CAPE MAY — March 11, the crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Tampa assisted the crew of a disabled fishing vessel about 70 miles east of Cape May, New Jersey.
The fishing vessel Hope & Sydney lost steering and power.
The Tampa crew arrived on scene Friday with the Hope & Sydney, established a tow Saturday and arrived Sunday near Cape May.
A boat crew from Coast Guard Station Cape May met the Tampa and relieved its crew of the tow before towing the Hope & Sydney into port.
The cutter Tampa is a 270-foot medium endurance cutter homeported in Portsmouth, Virginia.
