CG Rescues Snoozing Kayaker

CAPE MAY– The Coast Guard rescued a woman after she drifted into marshland while kayaking in Spicer’s Creek Friday.
Rescued was Angela Ferri.
The Coast Guard received a call from members of Lower Township Fire Department in Cape May reporting Ferri called from her cell phone stating she fell asleep and drifted into un-navigable waters.
A rescue boat crew from Coast Guard Station Cape May arrived on scene where two crewmembers walked through the marshland to rescue Ferri and transported her back to Spicer’s Creek Boat Access.
No injuries were reported.
