CAPE MAY – The Cape May County Coast Guard Community Foundation is seeking entries for its inaugural fine art show. To honor the men and women of the United States Coast Guard, the foundation is seeking entries that have a maritime theme or feature the Coast Guard.
The show will be held at the award winning Mad Batter Restaurant in Cape May from April 5 through May 10. The public is invited to an opening reception on April 8 from 3 to 5 p.m. where light refreshments will be served. The exhibit is part of the Mad Batter family’s ongoing support of the artist community and may be viewed seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Proceeds from the sale of art will benefit the Cape May County Coast Guard Community Foundation.
The show is open to all visual artists aged 18 years or older. Artwork must be original two-dimensional pieces in all mediums. There is no entry fee. Entry forms are available online at coastguardcommunity.org. For more information, contact Amy Mahon at (609) 972-6659 or amy@reichassetmanagement.com.

There will be tours of Cape May Harbor, children’s activities, vendors, food, live music and historical exhibits.
On May 6, the festival continues at the Cape May – Lewes Ferry Terminal where Sunday brunch is served. Other activities include a joint concert by the Recruit Band and Lower Cape May Regional School Bands, an awards ceremony honoring Coast Guard Spouse and Coast Guardian of the Year and a classic car show.
