Dear Friends and Neighbors
Welcome to the fourth annual Cape May County Coast Guard Community Festival. We look forward to this celebration all year long and are delighted you are joining us.
The festival honors the men and women of the United States Coast Guard and celebrates the county’s designation as a proud Coast Guard Community.
On Saturday, we invite you to explore Training Center Cape May, the nation’s only boot camp for Coast Guard recruits, on foot and by trolley. You’ll get an inside look at Coast Guard vessels and helicopters, watch U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Atlantic City conduct thrilling search and rescue demonstrations, and see engaging performances by the U.S. Coast Guard Drill Team and Recruit Band. There will also be tours of the Cape May Harbor, a Coast Guard Kid’s Zone, great food, local brews, vendors, and live entertainment all day including the USO Troupe Show straight from New York City.
On Sunday, the festival moves to the Cape May – Lewes Ferry Terminal where Coast Guard personnel and the public can enjoy breakfast together. Other activities include musical performances, an awards ceremony honoring a Hometown Hero and the Coast Guard Spouse of the Year, and an outstanding classic car show.
The Coast Guard Community Festival is proudly presented by the Cape May County Coast Guard Community Foundation in partnership with the County of Cape May and its 16 municipalities, the Cape May County Chamber of Commerce and numerous community sponsors.
Founded in 2015, the nonprofit foundation supports family-friendly, educational activities throughout the year. New for this year is a free performance by the United States Coast Guard Band on June 8 at 7 p.m. at LCMR High School. The 55-member ensemble, one of the five premier service bands in the nation, performs patriotic selections, classical works and jazz standards. You can find more information about this event and others by visiting CoastGuardCommunity.org.
Thank you for being a part of the Coast Guard Community Festival. With your help and support, we can continue to provide and expand programs to honor the men and women who protect our shores, enforce maritime law and preserve our environment.
Enjoy!

Cape May – Governor Murphy says he doesn't know anything about the drones and doesn't know what they are doing but he does know that they are not dangerous. Does anyone feel better now?
