Clothing Drop Off to be Held at Zoo, April 5

By Sponsored Content

COURT HOUSE – Big Brothers Big Sisters wants the shirt off your back. Do you have clothing that your family no longer needs? The clothes For Kids Sake Clothing Donation truck will be at the Cape May County Zoo April 5, from 10 to 11:30 am.
Saturday Big Brothers Big Sisters of Atlantic & Cape May Counties will be accepting gently used clothing, linens and shoes. Your donation is tax deductible and the revenue received from the sale of your donated items directly supports Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies.
The Wild Walk for Kids event will start off with a two mile walk on the grounds of the Cape May County Park & Zoo followed by a celebration featuring food, music and fun activities for the whole family.
You do not need to participate in the Walk to drop off clothing.
Registration fees ($25 for adults, $10 for kids 12 and under) include lunch and an event t-shirt for each participant. While there is no fundraising requirement, walkers are encouraged to each raise at least $100. Every dollar raised makes a difference!
Can’t make it to the zoo? Items will be picked at your home free of charge. Simply call 1(877)336-8828 or schedule a pickup with your computer by logging on to the website at www.njpickup.org.
Big Brothers Big Sisters has partnered with Savers, Inc a company with 50 years experience working with non-profit organizations. The items collected are placed at their thrift stores throughout the United States, with the proceeds from the sale going directly back into our Mentoring Programs.
Our collection methods include donation bins, community drop off locations and driver pick-ups. Currently we are looking for businesses, schools, churches, and other organizations to join with our Donation Center and sponsor a donation bin.
How a Big becomes a Big—and a Little, a Little.
Before we make a match, we do our homework. After someone expresses an interest in becoming a Big, they go through an extensive background check and careful interview process. Then we match Bigs and Littles based on location, personalities and preferences. And we provide full support from the start, so matches can grow into lasting, fruitful friendships. It’s also important to note that the entire matching process is made possible through donations—we can’t do what we do best without them! Clothes For Kids’ Sake makes it possible for anyone to change a child’s life for the better, forever.
Big Brothers Big Sisters is a United Way Agency.
