SEA ISLE CITY – The Sea Isle City Chamber of Commerce and Revitalization will host their 2012 City-Wide Yard Sale in Sea Isle City Sat., May 12, 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. More than 100 property owners and local organizations participated in this event in 2011, when a wide variety of merchandise was sold, ranging from furniture and home goods to children’s toys and bicycles. This year, even more residents and organizations are expected sell items on May 12.
To make shopping easier for the event’s customers, the Chamber of Commerce and Revitalization will create a “master list” of all the addresses where items will be sold during this year’s City-Wide Yard Sale. That list will be available on the day of the event at the Chamber’s website, www.seaislechamber.com. Paper copies of the master list will also be available on the morning of May 12 at RE/MAX Beach Home Realty, 4200 Landis Avenue.
Local residents and organizations wishing to sell items during the Yard Sale can add their addresses to the master list by phoning (609) 263-9090 or emailing sicccr@gmail.com. There is no fee required to sell items during this event, and no Yard Sale permits will be required by the City of Sea Isle City for May 12.
After May 12, The Crooked Tail Thrift Shop, located at 4208 Landis Avenue, will happily accept any unwanted items not sold by residents during the Yard Sale. The Crooked Tail is run by Saves Our Strays, a non-profit organization that provides food and care for stray cats in the community.
“Your good trash is our cash,” said Stacy Olandt, of Save Our Strays. “The money we raise at the Crooked Tail Thrift Shop helps feed and care for local cats and it also helps us spread animal-awareness education.”
