CAPE MAY – Chautauqua at the Shore extends an invitation to the Cape May County community and its visitors for a special evening celebrating the launch of its 2011 program. Cape May Forum’s “Big Night” will be held at the Cape May Winery, 711 Town Bank Road, on June 4 at 7 pm. Tickets are now on sale by phone and on the CMF web site. All proceeds from this special evening will go to the production and promotion of the fall program, “Guess What’s Coming for Dinner?” – The Politics of Food in the 21st Century.
The June 4 rundown of activities will guarantee you a “Big Night” in a very special setting.
Tour the Cape May Winery. Through the years, the Cape May Winery has become one of Cape May’s top tourist attractions. Guests will have the opportunity to tour the Winery with Toby Craig, proprietor. Two tours that evening.
Sample the Wine Bar. The Cape May Winery has grown over the past two decades to produce some of South Jersey’s most distinguished wines. Blended wines, both dry and sweet, really hit the mark, and are a specialty.
Enjoy Delicious Food. Enjoy a variety of hors d’oeuvres as only the Washington Inn can serve them.
Bid and win! at the The Politics of Food – Art Auction. Did you know the Cape May Forum has been running a New Jersey-wide poster competition? The winner will be unveiled at the “Big Night”. All juried work will be on sale at live and silent auctions. The Politics of Food poster will be launched.
Dance! Enjoy and dance to the sounds of the Bob Campanell Band. Out on the Winery’s newly opened terrace and fire pit, overlooking the lovely vineyards.
