WEST CAPE MAY — Always the first Saturday In December, The West Cape May Community Christmas Parade has set the stage for the areas holiday season for over 40 years.
Under the dedicated and able leadership of “Parade Lady”, Charlotte Daily, a small army of volunteers have assembled an unforgettable hometown memory each year, delighting both the young and the young at heart with music, clowns, floats and more.
A fundraiser has been set at the Chalfonte Hotel, Sun. Oct. 17 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Enjoy Southern-style fare at its finest at the Chalfonte Hotel’s nationally acclaimed Magnolia Room Restaurant. Come enjoy Dot Burton’s Southern Fried Chicken- Breaded & pan fried, a 90-year tradition, whipped buttermilk mashed potatoes, sautéed green beans and mixed green salad with homemade dressing. Cash bar available.

The parade is not funded through tax dollar but rather depends upon the individual contributions from members of the community.
In 2009, the Borough of West Cape May began assisting Mrs. Daily and the parade volunteers by managing the financial business, providing staff support for the organization, preparation, parade, and assisting with fundraising activities.
The Borough works together with Mrs. Daily, who continues to oversee and manage the parade, providing her knowledge, wisdom, and leadership so that the parade will continue for future generations to enjoy.
