By Herald Staff

COURT HOUSE – Hazel Pietras celebrated her 105th birthday Dec. 18.
She was joined by friends and family who gathered at Emeritus in Court House to celebrate the milestone birthday.
When she was brought from her room by her daughter and son-in-law, Vyan and John Lapworth, Pietras was surprised by other family members who traveled to be with her on that special day.
Her son Pete Pietras and his wife June traveled from Georgia. Her grandsons, Todd Timm and Tagg Timm traveled from Virginia. Along with friends, a local grandson, Brian Dukes also enjoyed the day with Pietras, according to Jean Poserina.
