‘Go Big or Go Home’ in AC

What we’ll remember…
Amy Pearson and Kevin Holmes were married on Nov. 22, 2013 at St. Nicholas of Tolentine Church in Atlantic City. The reception was held following the ceremony at an Atlantic City resort.
Amy recalls…
Our favorite memory is the whole day! Marrying each other, everything being so magical and beyond perfect, in front of all our friends and family.
The three priests that married us also baptized me in 1981, which was pretty amazing. Our wedding party was a large group of our great family and friends. Our party had a matron of honor, maid of honor, two best men, ten groomsmen, nine bridesmaids, one junior bridesmaid, three flower girls and two ring bearers. Our motto is “Go Big or Go Home!” Our girls wore long black one shoulder gowns and we used accents of gold and flowers with burnt orange and deep purple. Great American Trolley Co. provided transportation for the wedding party.
I was born and raised in North Wildwood and graduated from Wildwood Catholic ’99. Kevin was born and raised in North Cape May and graduated from Lower in 2000. We wanted to get married close to our hometowns, so Atlantic City was our choice!
We did a cupcake cake, with all our colors incorporated. There were four different flavors – lemon with strawberry buttercream, coconut with mango buttercream, chocolate with peanut buter buttercream, and chocolate chip with cannoli filling and vanilla buttercream.
The reception was just a complete dance party. The dance floor was packed the whole time. Our final count came to 317 people, so it was tons of fun. The “photobooth dude” had a line all night! Kevin chose our first song – “Amazed” by Lonestar. It was sung by our nine-piece band.
Tons of guests stayed the night after the reception and the following night too, for a weekend away. Monday morning, we left for St. Lucia. We rented a villa and took private boat tours. The honeymoon was just magical!
