By Herald Staff

COURT HOUSE — Cape Regional Medical Center’s first baby of the New Year arrived at 11:49 a.m. Jan. 1, born to Gale Miller and Dennis Nailon of Rio Grande.
Gale and Dennis, along with big brothers Drew, Blake, and Dane and big sister, Gabrielle, were very excited to welcome little Madison Bella Denise into their family on that sunny and very cold New Year’s Day.
Dr. Richard Michner delivered Madison, who weighed 6 lbs. 2 oz. and was 20 inches long.
In recognition of being the first baby born at the Medical Center in 2009, the family was presented with a gift basket full of toys and baby accessories.
The parents were given a dinner-for-two certificate, compliments of J. Otton’s Restaurant in Court House; mom also received a manicure and pedicure, compliments of Fusion Salon and Day Spa, Avalon, and a gift basket from Beanpod Candles.
