Melanie Nadine Garthwaite, daughter of James and Kim Garthwaite of Oreland, PA and granddaughter of Jeanette Reath and the late Clarence Reath of Dennisville, NJ, graduated from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on July 31st, 2017. She was awarded the degree of Master of Science in Forensic Medicine. Miss. Garthwaite received her Bachelor of Science in Forensic Biology from Chestnut Hill College in 2013 and graduated from Springfield Township High School in 2009. Currently employed as an emergency room technician, Miss. Garthwaite plans to use her latest educational achievement to pursue a career in death investigation. She will also be pursuing the crown at the Miss. Pennsylvania USA Pageant in December 2017.
