Celebrate Holiday Festivities

By On Deck Staff

Main Street Wildwood, a non-profit downtown revitalization organization, and Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce are holding the annual Holiday Open House on Friday, Dec. 4 beginning at 6 p.m. The event takes place at the Greater Wildwood Chamber of Commerce’s headquarters, 3306 Pacific Ave. (between Wildwood and Oak avenues) in Wildwood.
Celebrate the season’s festivities by watching the Jaycees Christmas Parade as it passes by the Chamber’s door, then come on in and enjoy complimentary seasonal refreshments. Children of the Wildwoods 12 years of age and under are invited to take part in a free drawing for a boy’s bike and a girl’s bike. It will be a fun time for the entire family.
As an added attraction, the Greater Wildwood Kiwanis are sponsoring “Make Your Own Santa Hat.” Children are invited to design and personalize their own unique Santa Hat to take home.
The community’s assistance is requested to help make this event special for the local children who will attend. Donations of new, unwrapped toys, other appropriate items and monetary donations will be greatly appreciated.
A special guest appearance is planned at the Open House by the North Wildwood Lifeguard Band.
The parade will end at the Wildwoods Convention Center. A Tree Lighting Ceremony and Parade Awards will follow at 8 p.m.
The rain date for the event is Sunday, Dec. 6.
Donations for the Holiday Open House can be dropped off at the GWCOC office. Your help will make this holiday season memorable for many of the children and families of the Wildwoods.
