COURT HOUSE – Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) for Children of Atlantic and Cape May Counties will host Original Stars, Brilliant Futures: Celebrating 10 years of Child Advocacy Benefit Auction from 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 3 at Greate Bay Country Club in Somers Point. The event will celebrate CASA for Children’s 10th anniversary of service to the foster children of Atlantic and Cape May County as well as honor the founding partners, friends and supporters who’ve helped CASA succeed over the years.
“For 10 years CASA has served over 700 foster children in Atlantic and Cape May County, but we wouldn’t be here today without the support of our community partners, volunteers and friends,” said CASA for Children Executive Director Angie Waters. “This event is a chance to honor those who’ve supported us and to look towards the future when we can give every foster child in our region a CASA volunteer.”
The Auction features a delicious dinner buffet, a craft beer tasting provided by Kramer Beverage, a wine tasting provided by Passion Vines Wine and Spirit Company and a silent auction featuring one-of-a kind trips to Grenada, the Florida Keys and the Atlantis Paradise Island.
Ticket prices are $70 per person, $125 per couple and $600 for a table of 10. Program book ads and event sponsorships are also available. For further information please call (609) 601-7800 or email karen@AtlanticCapeCASA.org

About CASA:
Trained CASA Volunteer Advocates speak in family court on behalf of abused and neglected children in the foster care system and are dedicated to ensuring these children are placed in safe permanent homes as quickly as possible. In Atlantic and Cape May Counties, over 700 children are placed in foster care annually. Last year, CASA served 316 abused and neglected children with 162 Advocates and helped place 92 children in permanent homes.
Volunteering for CASA is a rewarding experience says Volunteer Advocate Judy from Mays Landing, N.J., “The CASA program addresses one of the most compelling problems of our society, narrows it to one small child and allows me to enter that life and make a difference.” For more information about CASA visit www.AtlanticCapeCASA.org. CASA is a United Way Partner Agency.
