Cape Tech Students Participate in Junior Achievement Career Workshop

Cape Tech students participate in Junior Achievement Career Workshop at Stockton University.

CREST HAVEN — Recently, 55 Cape Tech students from Mr. Barry Kopf’s Economics class and Mr. Edward Leszczynski’s Business Services Technology and Intro to Marketing classes visited Stockton University to participate in a day-long career workshop sponsored by the Junior Achievement of New Jersey.
Students from Cape May County Technical High School, Atlantic County Institute of Technology and Camden County Technical along with their teachers, faculty members from Stockton and Mark Bierson, the president of the New Jersey Board of Education engaged in discussions and activities centered on preparing students for college and their future careers. Career skills discussed and practiced included communications, problem-solving, teamwork, leadership, job interviewing and critical thinking
Ms. Christy Tighe, Junior Achievement facilitator said, “On behalf of the entire JANJ Team, I’d like to express our sincere gratitude for a truly inspirational day! Over 100 outstanding high school students spent the day at Stockton University, where they connected with fellow students and mentors while being motivated, inspired, and prepared for life after high school.”
Junior Achievement of NJ’s mission is to inspire and prepare young people in grades K-12 to succeed in a global economy through real world relationships with business, government, and education partners that can help them develop the employability and financial literacy skills needed to succeed in the 21st century.
