CAPE MAY – Plans for a proposed expansion of Atlantic City Electric’s Cape May Substation on Venice Avenue will go before the public Nov. 4 during an open house at Congress Hall, 200 Congress Place from 10 a.m. until noon.
At that time, utility company employees will answer questions about plans “to perform essential work to modernize and expand the substation,” according to the letter dated Oct. 17 obtained by the Herald.
The letter, signed by Ronnie Town, external affairs manager, stated that the utility seeks to provide “safe and reliable service” to customers. “This includes routinely enhancing our electric distribution system with new, modern equipment to support the growing needs of our customers,” it stated.
Those unable to attend the event or who have questions can contact Town at veronica.town@atlanticcityelectric.com.
