Devon Vanderslice.

By Press Release

CAPE MAY – Friday night was one of true excitement. It was a “Night at the Oscars”, featuring past Oscar-winning music, “Oscar” trophies to many deserving volunteers, and showcasing the talent and beauty of sixteen young women, each hoping to win a crown and scholarship money to further their education. Many past “crowns” dotted the audience to support these young hopefuls, as well as the 2015 winners of each title. These 2015 winners entertained the audience with their own talents, as well as slide shows of their memorable reigning year’s activities. At the end of the evening, stage presence, interview, fitness, talent, and evening gown were all scored and combined with the contestants’ personal platforms of community service and the winners were selected by the six judges. The title of Miss Cape May County was won by Devon Vanderslice. She is a 22 year old from Ocean City. Devon attends West Chester University and her community service platform is “Give Life a Second Chance”. The Miss Cape Resort crown was won by Devan Fogarty, a 23 year old from Marmora, and she is attending Ursinus College. Her platform is “Stand Up Against Bullying”. Miss Cape Resort’s Outstanding Teen was won by Mikaela Sheridan, a 16 year old from Northfield. She attends Mainland Regional High School and she is promoting organ donation. Miss Cape May Co. and Miss Cape Resort will compete in the Miss New Jersey pageant in June.
