COURT HOUSE –In recognition of National Diabetes Education Month, Tthe Diabetes Center at Cape Regional Medical Center will host the 13th Annual Diabetes Update Nov. 11. The forum will be held at the Medical Center in Classrooms A & B from 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and is open to the public. The forum is free and no registration is required. A light, breakfast will be served.
A faculty of healthcare professionals, including physicians, advance practice nurses, certified diabetes educators and dietitians will be discussing a variety of diabetes topics. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Christopher Zitnay, Board-Certified Endocrinologist and Medical Director of The Diabetes Center.
Dr. Zitnay is in private practice with Cape Regional Physicians Associates and his office is located in Cape May Court House, NJ. He earned his medical degree from the University of Virginia, School of Medicine, completed his internship at the University of Vermont Medical Center Hospital, and his residency and fellowship training in Endocrinology were completed at the University of Virginia Health Services. He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Endocrinology. Dr. Zitnay’s practice experience includes endocrinology consultative services with Charlottesville Endocrine, affiliated with Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia; Medical Director of the John Jane Brain Injury Center; private practice with the Endocrine and Diabetes Group of Washington, PLC; Medical Director of the Charlottesville Free Clinic, and primary care physician with Kaiser Permanente of Southern California.
