Cape May Tech to Host First ‘TinkerCon’, May 18

By Press Release

COURT HOUSE – The first annual Tech TinkerCon, a student led S.T.E.A.M. and maker space event, will be held May 18, 2017 in the Cape May County Technical High School MAC. Doors open at 8:30 and close at 2:00 p.m. (Closed for lunch from 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.).
A maker space is a place where people can gather to create, design, invent, build, and explore. People come together to share ideas, learn something new and form community.  The projects will come from all aspects of S.T.E.A.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math). Some stations are informational and have demonstrations. Some are interactive and have hands-on activities. It is a chance for students to: showcase projects they have been working on during the school year, to interact with other people to discuss their projects, and to learn new skills or ideas to try out in the future. Most importantly, it is a place to have fun.
This year’s event was made possible through support of the Cape May County Technical School and a Cape Educational Fund Grant.
