When the judges’ votes were tallied, a dance troupe from the Emerald Isle Academy of Irish Dance in New Castle, Delaware, received first prize in Hamilton Mall’s Got Talent presented by Macy’s and 95.1 WAYV.
“This amazing group received four perfect scores for their ‘Lord of the Dance’ performance,” said Alex Glover of Center Stage Entertainment, producer of the talent show. “The judges were wowed by the discipline exhibited by every single member of the group.” As the first place winners, the Emerald Isle Academy dancers received a $1,500 prize.
Cape May resident Cameron Smith placed second for her dance performance to “Accentuate the Positive,” receiving a $750 prize, while Nicolette Palombo of Delran, New Jersey, won the third prize of $350 for her rendition of “Once Upon a Time” from Brooklyn: The Musical.
