CAPE MAY – The New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness (NJOHSP) in conjunction with The Cape May City Police Department will be hosting a Terrorism Awareness and Prevention (TAP) program to raise the awareness of terrorism threats to the whole community.
Description
The TAP program has been approved by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to inform first responders and the general public on how to recognize and report suspicious activity in an effort to mitigate acts of terrorism on people and properties throughout New Jersey.
TAP illustrates how we, as a community, can participate in helping to protect our families, friends, and fellow citizens. Through a one-hour presentation, the speaker(s) elaborate on various issues such as the goals and agenda of both domestic and international terrorist groups, outline the eight signs of terrorism, and provide information on how individuals can contact authorities to report suspicious behavior.
Target Audience

NJOHSP has traveled throughout the State to deliver this program to state, county, and municipal employees to include Fire Service personnel, Emergency Medical Services Technicians, private business organizations, community volunteer organizations, CERT Teams, civic organizations, church groups, and senior groups.
