CAPE MAY — The American Council for International Studies is pleased to announce the selection of Barry Kopf to lead and coach a team of softball players from the United States as they travel to Italy during the summer of 2017. The team will be comprised of current and former Cape May Tech softball players as well as other players from the Cape May County area.
Departing the United States on July 31, 2017, the team will spend nine days touring Italy and playing games against various local Italian club teams. The players will have the opportunity to tour various areas in Italy, including the cities of Milan, Montecatini and Rome where softball competitions will take place.
The team traveling with Barry will include: current Cape May Tech players — Emmalee Poserina, Amy Poserina, Christine Albrecht, Taylor Patterson, Tatiana Nieves, and Jazalyn Klein, Paige Sittineri, and Carly Langlois; former Cape May Tech players — Marissa Mulville, and Tina Sacco; and, from Lower Cape Regional — Melissa Brown.
Parents of players are invited to travel with the team and partake in the excitement of watching these young ladies wear the Red, White, and Blue of the United States as they square off against the Italian teams. And, in between games there will be opportunities visit some of Italy’s museums and historical sites – as well as end this wonderful experience with a dip in the Mediterranean.
