The Sheriff is the highest and only Law Enforcement Official elected by the people. As your Sheriff, it will be my honor and responsibility to be an effective part of the civil and criminal law enforcement efforts of the State of New Jersey. I recognize my moral obligation to the citizens of the County of Cape May to be fiscally responsible and utilize sound management procedures.
As your Undersheriff for the past seven years, I have worked side by side with our Sheriff to ensure the security of the courts, the Correctional Center, and the welfare and safety of the community, the staff and inmates. I have promoted and supported the professional development of our office’s employees and the implementation of sound correctional practices. I have employed my extensive background and training to assist the Sheriff with continuous staff training on current policy and correctional issues.
I have been endorsed for sheriff by your current sheriff, Gary Shaffer, as well as by the NJ State P.B.A.; Cape May County P.B.A. Local 59; Ocean City P.B.A. Local 61; NJ Police K-9 Association; AFSCME local 3596; and the New Union League of Cape May County.
As your Sheriff, I pledge to continue serving with dedication and fiscal prudence. We have challenges ahead, and I am ready. I will ensure a smooth transition from the current jail to the new jail; I will battle the opioid abuse issue with all of the resources available to me; I will be proactive in preparing for any potential terrorist or active shooter threats; and I will continue to maintain a positive work culture, where employee productivity and morale can flourish. And I will put forth all efforts to continue our record of nine straight years being under budget and offsetting tax increases.
I have proudly served the Cape May County Sheriff’s Office for over 33 years. I genuinely care about our community’s well-being and safety. I hope you’ll agree that the right man for the job is the one who’s been on the job for more than three decades, saving taxpayers money and keeping Cape May County safe and secure. On Nov. 7, vote Republican Column One, and for me, Bob Nolan. I thank you for your support.

Cape May – Governor Murphy says he doesn't know anything about the drones and doesn't know what they are doing but he does know that they are not dangerous. Does anyone feel better now?
