COURT HOUSE – Cape May County Library announces children’s events to be held in March.

County Library Hosts Art @ the Library in Cape May!

The Cape May County Library invites children, ages 6-10 to Art @ the Library presented by the Cape May Center for Community Arts. The program will take place at the Cape May City Branch Library on Thursdays, March 1, 8, 15, and 22, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. The Cape May City Branch Library is located on 110 Ocean Street in Cape May.

Children ages six through ten are invited to enjoy Art @ the Library. Activities combine literature and art where children read a book and create a work of art using a variety of media and styles. Ages 6-10. Presented by the Community Center for the Arts. Call 609-884-7525 for more information.

County Library Hosts LEGO Clubs

The Cape May County Library invites children, ages 5 to 12 years old, and their caregivers to attend our LEGO Clubs. LEGO Club will be held at four of the library’s branches throughout March.

In order to develop a theme for each meeting, we’ll read books to get ideas about what to construct and then bring out the LEGOs and build, build, build! Parents are encouraged to stay through the meetings and build with their kids.

The Cape May County Library invites children, ages 3 to 5 years, and their caregivers to attend Preschool Storytimes. The programs will take place at many of our Cape May County Library branches throughout March.  

Children, ages 3 to 5 years, are invited to enjoy stories, rhymes, crafts and lots of fun! Each storytime will include stories, songs & rhymes, and craft activities that reinforce children’s basic concepts, language skills, listening ability, and social skills.

The Cape May County Library invites families to a Homeschool Social to be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thurs., March 8. The Homeschool Social will take place at the Lower Branch of the library, located at 2600 Bayshore Road in the Villas.

The Lower Cape Library invites all families in the area who homeschool their children to a monthly social. Each month, we will explore a different subject area with stories and activities for the children. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet with other families who homeschool and explore the library’s vast resources.

The Cape May County Library invites kids, ages 5-12, to Kitchen Wizards! The program will take place twice on Sat., March 10 and kids can register for one of the two sessions. The first session will take place at 10:30 a.m. and the second session will take place at 12:00 p.m. The programs will be held at the Main Branch of the Library, located at 30 W. Mechanic Street in Cape May Court House.

Kitchen Wizards helps kids discover the magic of cooking, one bite at a time, through culinary enrichment programs. Plenty of samples to take home and copies of recipes provided. Recipes are not guaranteed to be nut-free.

The Cape May County Library invites kids up to 5 years old to join our 1,000 Books Graduation Celebration held at the Stone Harbor Branch of the library at 5:30 p.m. on Wed., March 14. The Stone Harbor Branch of the library is located at 9516 2nd Avenue in Stone Harbor.

Kids up to 5 years old and their families are invited to celebrate with us! We’ll be presenting our recent graduates, reading stories, and having snacks! You don’t need to be registered to participate. Ask us about signing up for 1,000 Books!

The Cape May County Library invites toddlers, ages 2-5, and their caregivers to Messy Masterpieces to be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thurs., March 15.  The programs will take place at the Lower Cape Branch library located at 2600 Bayshore Road in the Villas.

Writers and aspiring writers wanted! Writers Rock is a creative writing club for kids 8 – 12 years old that will meet once a month to participate in fun activities to hone our writing skills and inspire our creativity. Kids can register in the Children’s Room of the Lower Cape Library or by phone.

County Library Hosts Baby Time 

The Cape May County Library invites children from birth to 1 year old and their caregivers to Baby Time storytime held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesdays, March 20 and 27. The program will take place at the Main Branch of the library, located at 30 W. Mechanic Street in Cape May Court House. 

Baby Time is a special storytime designed for children who have just arrived in the family through 1 year old. You and your baby will listen to and participate in rhymes, songs, stories, and playing with toys.

County Library Hosts Toddler Time 

The Cape May County Library invites children 2-3 years old and their caregivers to Toddler Time storytime held at 10:45 a.m. on Tuesdays, March 20 and 27. The program will take place at the Main Branch of the library, located at 30 W. Mechanic Street in Cape May Court House. 

Children 2-3 years old and their caregivers are invited to Toddler Time! Toddler Time is a special storytime designed for 2 year olds and young 3 year olds who may not be ready for preschool storytime. You and your toddler will enjoy simple books, action rhymes, music, and songs that will help develop early literacy, language and social skills.

County Library Hosts Family Dance Party 

The Cape May County Library invites kids, ages 2-6, and their families to attend a Morning Dance Party to be held on Fri., March 23 at 11:00 a.m. The program will take place at the Wildwood Crest Branch of the library, located at 6300 Atlantic Avenue in Wildwood Crest. 

Kids 2-6 and their families are invited to show off their cool dance moves and learn new ones! Dance the day away with Miss Susan from Miss Susan’s Entertainment!

County Library Hosts Creative Writing Club 

The Cape May County Library invites kids, ages 8-12, to join Writers Rock which will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Wed., March 28. The program will take place at the Lower Branch of the library located at 2600 Bayshore Road in the Villas.  

Writers and aspiring writers wanted! Writers Rock is a creative writing club for kids 8 – 12 years old that will meet once a month to participate in fun activities to hone our writing skills and inspire our creativity. Kids can register in the Children’s Room of the Lower Cape Library or by phone.
