Cape May County Health Department Presents CEED

The Cape May County Health Department, in conjunction with the state of New Jersey, has presented the CEED (Cancer Education and Early Detection) Program in hopes to increase citizens’ chances of combatting the disease.
The CEED Program is a Cancer screening program utilizing funds from the CDC, Breast and Cervical Cancer Initiative, The NJ Department of Health and Senior Services, and the Cape May County Board of Chosen Freeholders.
Program Services include:
Breast Exam and Mammogram referral
Pelvic Exam and Pap test
PSA blood test and Prostate Exam by Urologist
Stool test for Colorectal Cancer
Who Is The Program For?
The Cancer Education and Early Detection Program provides cancer screenings to Cape May County residents who have no health insurance coverage nor Medicaid nor Medicare. There are some financial limitations. CEED screens women ages 40-64 and men 50-64. African American males are screened beginning at age 40.
How to Use The Program:
Call 609-465-1047 for more information or to make an appointment.
Cost:
No charge for eligible participants.
Location:
The CEED Program is located at Cape May County Department of Health. The Health Department is located in the Crest Haven Complex at Exit 11 on the G.S. Parkway.
Hours:
The Cancer Education and Early Detection Program has two Monday morning clinics and one Tuesday afternoon clinic for breast and cervical cancer screenings. Prostate Cancer screening clinics for men are held on one Friday afternoon from 12 to 2 pm every month.
