COURT HOUSE — The New Jersey State Agricultural Youth Ambassadors Reception was held Wed. evening, Feb.10, as part of the New Jersey State Agriculture Convention in Atlantic City.
Elise Heim, Cape May County 4-H Junior Equestrian of the Year, and Kelly Suter, Cape May County Senior Outstanding 4-H Member and Senior Equestrian of the Year, represented the Cape May County Board of Agriculture and 4-H Youth Development Program with an exhibit on beach plums. Elise and Kelly introduced convention delegates and attendees to the growing importance of the beach plum in Cape May County agriculture and offered them samples of delicious beach plum jelly.
Additionally, CMC 4-H representatives attended the convention awards banquet with Linda Horner, Cape May County 4-H Acting Agent and were honored along with other youth ambassadors for their contributions.
