COURT HOUSE — The Cape Express Soccer Club proudly announces its 1st Annual College ID Showcase Event. This one-of-a-kind event will allow high school-aged soccer players from throughout South Jersey to demonstrate their skills and discuss their potential collegiate careers for a cadre of college coaches representing collegiate soccer programs from throughout the mid-Atlantic region, all without leaving Cape May County.
This inaugural event will consist of both an on-field practical playing experience in which both male and female high school-aged players will have the opportunity to showcase their skills for the college coaches, immediately followed by an indoor event in which players will be able to visit each of the collegiate coaches in attendance and speak with them about their potential futures at the sport’s next level.
Cape Express SC has received commitments from several regional colleges and universities of varying size, including Villanova University (PA, D-I), Drexel University (PA, D-I), West Chester University (PA, D-II), Philadelphia University (PA, D-II), Stockton College (NJ, D-III), Cabrini College (PA, D-III), North Carolina Wesleyan (NC, D-III), DeSales University (PA, D-III), among many others. The list of participating colleges is subject to change. The club plans to have more than 25 NCAA programs represented.
The inaugural event is planned for Fri., June 3, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and will be held at the Middle Township High School in Cape May Court House, NJ.
The event is open to any interested players throughout the area. All interested players will need to pre-register via the Cape express website (capeexpress.com).
Space is limited. Once the combine reaches capacity, no more registrations will be accepted.
