THE WILDWOODS — The Wildwoods Convention Center has received a major honor from one of the country’s most popular convention magazines – Facilities Magazine – as the venue was named a recipient of the publication’s prestigious ‘Prime Site’ Award. The Convention Center received the same award in 2011.
The venue was selected for its unique location overlooking the sandy-white Wildwoods beaches combined with the facility’s spacious exhibit halls and flexible amenities.
The Prime Site award is given to only the top convention centers that serve the meeting industry. The criteria for the award are marketability, accessibility, quality and customer service. The Wildwoods Convention Center is one of 29 SMG-managed convention centers to receive this award this year.
“The Wildwoods Convention Center is one of the Northeast’s top venues for meetings, conventions, concerts and events – and this accolade helps demonstrate that,” said John Siciliano, Executive Director for the Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority. “Receiving this award once again is a credit to all of the people who work tirelessly at the convention center to provide the very best service to each and every person that steps foot inside our doors,” he added.
Facilities Media Group has been the leading news source for professional planners of conventions, meetings, entertainment and other special events for 25 years. Their top publications, Facilities & Destinations, and Facilities & Event Management have provided insight in the industry with interviews of key industry professionals.
Located within a day’s drive of one-third of America’s population, the Wildwoods Convention Center is a modern, state-of-the-art, 260,000-square-foot venue located directly on the beach in beautiful Wildwood, New Jersey.
