WILDWOOD – The Wildwood Business Improvement District awarded their annual DOO WW Spirit Award to the Wildwood Police Department during the opening day celebration of the Downtown Wildwood Farmers Market on May 28. The DOO WW Spirit Award is presented to individuals or organizations in appreciation of exemplary support of the WBID’s initiatives to revitalize Downtown Wildwood.
While awarding the plaque to Police Chief Robert Regalbuto, John Donio, President of the WBID Board, acknowledged the terrific presence of police on Pacific Avenue. Mr. Donio noted that the community enjoys talking with the bike and foot police officers when they stop by the weekly Downtown Wildwood Farmers Markets and Free Family Movie Nights. Jodie DiEduardo of the WBID emphasized the great job the Wildwood Police Department is doing, developing relationships within the Downtown Wildwood community and providing an atmosphere of safety. She concluded saying, “Their work is a great demonstration of DOO WW Spirit!”
The Wildwood Police Department will partner with the WBID and host “Coffee with a Cop” at the new Downtown Wildwood Sunday Marketplace on June 26, July 31 and August 21. The Marketplace will be held on the Farmers Market lot at 3501 Pacific Avenue from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
