VIM of Cape May County Welcomes New Board Members

Micki Goldberg (center)

By Press Release

COURT HOUSE – During their annual dinner meeting, which was held recently at The Belleview Tavern in Cape May Court House, Volunteers In Medicine of Cape May County (VIM) welcomed a returning trustee back into Board service.  Micki Goldberg, of Cape May Court House, is now one of eleven board members working in support of the VIM clinic on Route 9 in Cape May Court House, where county residents without health insurance and those who are under-insured receive much-needed medical care and counseling.
A retired educator and homemaker, Goldberg initially joined VIM in 2002, one year after the clinic first opened its doors. After a three year hiatus that followed twelve years as a Board of Trustees member, the long-time community servant returned to the board in October – much to the delight of her fellow board members and the other volunteers at VIM.
“I am thrilled Micki is officially back, although she never really left,” said Executive Director Jacqueline Meiluta.  “Micki has been my mentor and friend since the day we first met. She is a passionate community advocate.”
Also joining the VIM Board this term is the Reverend Victoria Pretti, of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Stone Harbor. Mother Victoria was unable to make the Annual Dinner but looks forward to serving on the VIM Board.
