The New Jersey Casino Control Commission, in partnership with the American Legion, will host a Veterans Casino Career Fair, Thursday, April 25, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Commission’s Office, Tennessee Avenue and Boardwalk, Atlantic City. “The casinos have some 2,400 positions to fill and we are committed to providing job opportunities to our veterans,” said James Plousis, Casino Control Commission chairman.
Plousis noted that more than 175 veterans attended the commission’s inaugural fair last year. “It was very successful and we hope to assist even more veterans this year,” he said.
The event is open to veterans, active duty military, members of the Reserve and National Guard; and their spouses. Representatives from the city’s nine casino hotel properties, and several veterans, state and higher-education organizations will be onsite for the event. Additionally, human resource professionals from the commission and the Community Reinvestment Development Authority will be available to share resume and interviewing tips and techniques.
Casino representatives said they have a significant number of full-time positions available and are also hiring now for seasonal jobs. The openings encompass all aspects of casino operations and veterans are encouraged to bring resumes to the fair.
Additionally, human resource professionals from the commission and the Community Reinvestment Development Authority will be available to share resume and interviewing tips and techniques.
