United Way Appoints 10 Members to Regional Board of Directors

PHILADELPHIA – United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey (UWGPSNJ) has appointed 10 members to its regional Board of Directors.
“We’re grateful to have these distinguished business and community leaders join with us to change lives and strengthen communities throughout our region – one child, one adult and one family at a time,” said Jim Cawley, president and CEO of UWGPSNJ. “By generously giving of their time, talent and treasure, our Board drives investment in our Impact Fund and sets United Way’s strategies to improve Education, Financial Stability, Health and Basic Needs for our most vulnerable neighbors.”
Newly elected directors include:
• Andrea Anania, ex oficio
• Anthony J. Conti, retired managing partner, PwC Philadelphia Metro Market
• Nick DeBenedictis, chairman, Aqua America Inc.
• Orlando Esposito, executive vice president and head of asset management group, PNC Bank
• Frances A. McElhill, partner, Archer & Greiner P.C.
• Pedro A. Ramos, president and CEO, The Philadelphia Foundation
• Michael J. Renna, president and CEO, South Jersey Industries, resides in Mount Laurel
• Phillip Rinaldi, principal partner and CEO, Philadelphia Energy Solutions LLC
• William R. Sasso, chairman, Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young, LLP
• Joseph Scheufele, executive vice president and managing director of business development, Energenic, LLC, and resides in of Ocean View

UWGPSNJ’s regional Board of Directors consists of 63 volunteer leaders who represent the business, nonprofit and public sectors from western Montgomery County to the Jersey shore.
