By Press Release

NEPTUNE, N.J. — When the time and energy expended toward high quality communications realizes positive outcomes, all share in the triumph. United Methodist Communities is the recipient of six 2016 MarCom Awards, an international creative competition that recognizes outstanding achievement by marketing and communication professionals.
There were over 6,500 entries from all 50 United States, 10 provinces and three territories of Canada and 17 other countries. Individuals or companies involved in the concept, writing and design of print, visual, audio and web materials and programs entered. Entries came from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, public relations firms, design shops, production companies and freelancers.
The awards represent United Methodist Communities’ Marketing Department and two creative partners: The Merz Group of West Chester, Pa. and Image Revolver of Philadelphia, Pa. Crab cakes in Ocean City, a video in which Executive Chef Glick shares his recipe, won Platinum. Platinum Winners are judged to be the most outstanding recognized for their excellence in quality, creativity and resourcefulness. About 17 percent won this award.
The fall 2016 engage magazine and Three Common Senior Scams, a video informing seniors how to avoid scams, took Gold. Approximately 24 percent of entries were deemed Gold winners. Three entries received Honorable Mention: spring 2016 Connections, Marcella’s testimonial (video) and the United Methodist Communities Branding Refresh Campaign.
MarCom Awards is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals (AMCP), which consists of several thousand creative professions. As part of its mission through grants and special recognition, the Association fosters and supports the efforts of marketing and communication professionals who contribute their unique talents to public service and charitable organizations.
Robbie Voloshin, corporate director of marketing, declared, “While these awards demonstrate excellence in marketing and communications, they reinforce the joy of work well done and our ministry to seniors.”
Judges are industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talents exceed a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry. AMCP sponsored competitions have grown to perhaps the largest of their kind in the world. Winners range in size from individual communicators to media conglomerates and Fortune 50 companies. The competition is so well respected in the industry that national public relations organizations, local ad clubs, and local business communicator chapters are entrants.
Until the next competition, United Methodist Communities’ Marketing team continues to creatively support broad organizational goals and benefit New Jersey seniors.
