Nora Williams, owner of Williams Dog Training Company (WDTC), is excited to announce two new services that are exclusively offered to residence of Cape May County – Doggie Day Care and Doggie Day Care WITH Training.
After opening her original location over 20 years ago, Williams, along with her daughter Amanda Onorato, are opening a brand new second location on Route 9 in Seaville.
Due to the fact that a large majority of WDTC’s clients live in Northern New Jersey, Manhattan and the boroughs, an average week of traveling for Williams and staff can be upwards of 2,400 miles – training for such names as the NY Giants, Yankees and Dr. Oz.
“We wanted to develop programs that were designed especially with our locals in mind,” she said. “Our new location will provide locals a great alternative to leaving their dog home alone while they go to work for the day, so often coming home to an unruly, overly exuberant dog that has destroyed furniture and other personal belongings because the dog has been bored and cooped up all day.
“Unfortunately physical exercise isn’t enough for the average dog, especially the working, herding and sporting breeds such as boxers, German shepherds and labs. These breeds, amongst many, many others are extremely intelligent and bred to do a job. Throwing the ball across the yard a few times, although great workout for their bodies, doesn’t provide the dog with the mental exercise that he or she needs.”
WDTC offers many different packages to fit most budgets and training issues. While you are at work your dog will not only be receiving physical exercise but also mental exercise, learning everything from heel, sit, stay down and come.
The program also addresses housebreaking and behavior modification, which corrects problem behaviors, such as social skills with people and other animals, manners within the home, jumping-up, chewing, barking and any other behavioral issues that you are having with your dog.
