Traditions Continue at Wildwood Catholic High School

To all our friends and neighbors,
It’s hard to believe that six years have passed since the near closing of our Wildwood Catholic High School. The reversal of that infamous decision has awakened in our local community a new energy seen in the stabilization of our finances and drive for increased enrollment.
Today, our school continues the more than 65-year tradition of affording a top notch college preparatory academic program within a solid Catholic Christian tradition that does not shy away from forming honest, moral and spiritual young people. We recently underwent the Middle States Reaccreditation process and received glowing praise from the visiting accreditation team.
With a 100 percent graduation rate, 98 percent of our graduates go on to college. Our students have been offered almost $30 million in scholarship awards for college in the past six years. We can also boast of two appointments to the Naval Academy.
While attending WCHS, students are challenged with a wide variety of courses including some that earn college credits through Seton Hall University. WCHS students excel in a multitude of ways. They are participants in National Forensics tournaments, Mock Trial, United Nations Student Leadership Conferences – including a Global Citizen Scholarship recipient, and numerous other recognitions for academic excellence.
Our young athletes have garnered six Division I athletic scholarships to Colgate, Michigan State, Seton Hall, Temple, Rutgers and St. Peter’s. We have recently competed in and won State, South Jersey and Cape Atlantic League championships. Whether our student athletes win or lose, they are all champions in our eyes!
Recently we renovated and modernized our school auditorium that hosts two plays per year to packed audiences and rave reviews. Our students’ creative and artistic energy is encouraged and nurtured here at Wildwood Catholic.
We’d like to thank the wider community here in the lower end of our state for your support and encouragement. Your generosity and sacrifices have not only kept our doors open but have allowed us to improve and flourish. And as in all things worth saving in this life, your continued support is essential!
We, the School Board of Wildwood Catholic High School, wanted to take this opportunity during Catholic Schools Week to thank you for all your continued help and to encourage you to check our school out! Please encourage your children to shadow here and experience the love, safety, and welcome that a Catholic School education can provide. Give us a call and give us a visit. God bless you and your family.
