MAYS LANDING – Atlantic City Electric has presented three South Jersey nonprofit organizations with $154,500, secured as part of the company’s 12th Annual Golf Classic. Conserve Wildlife Foundation, Ranch Hope, Inc. and the Val Skinner Foundation-LIFE LPGA Pros in the Fight, were recently presented with the funds to help support the fulfillment of their local missions, supporting local youth development, breast cancer education and protecting diverse wildlife across the region.
“These organizations are doing important work in support of our local communities,” said Vince Maione, Atlantic City Electric region president. “We are pleased to once again provide these funds that help to extend the important support these organizations provide for people in need.”
Since its inception in 2006, the Atlantic City Electric Golf Classic has raised nearly $1.6 million for 18 local nonprofit organizations in South Jersey. The funding, which is provided by Atlantic City Electric’s parent company foundation, PHI Community Foundation, has helped support many local programs, including those that provide youth mentoring, breast cancer awareness, support abused or neglected children, help struggling individuals and families achieve self sufficiency, and celebrate the achievements of children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
