Theresa Williams of Wildwood, has been named Cape Regional Health System’s “2015 Volunteer of the Year.” The announcement was made at the Annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon held on Monday, April 13 at The Grand Hotel in Cape May. Williams was presented the award by Joanne Carrocino, FACHE, President and CEO, in the presence of more than 200 of the awardee’s peer volunteers.
Williams began volunteering at Cape Regional Health System in February, 2000 and to date, has provided over 12,000 hours of volunteer service. She has received accolades from fellow EtCetera Shop Volunteers, Auxilians and staff for her strong work ethic, dedication and positive attitude. She and husband, David, provide vital service at the Cape May Court House EtCetera Shop two days each week.
This busy volunteer is also President of the Cape Regional Medical Center Auxiliary’s Wildwood Branch. She diligently co-chairs the bake sale at the Auxiliary’s Memorial Day Antique Show and is an active volunteer and officer of the Wildwood Civic Club. Theresa has also co-coordinated bake sales at the hospital in support of the Ruth Newman Shapiro Cancer and Heart Fund.
The Annual Volunteer of the Year Award reflects a volunteer’s extraordinary performance, commitment and representation of service excellence and is announced during National Volunteer Recognition Week each year.
