Attention high school seniors: You can win $1,000 for college this fall!
The Law Firm of John W. Tumelty invites all high school seniors in Cape May and Atlantic counties in NJ to enter to win a $1,000 scholarship to the four-year college of their choice. Applicants must submit an essay that will be judged by the law firm staff and shared through social media channels.*
A longtime resident of South Jersey, a former Atlantic County prosecutor and a local businessman for more than 30 years, criminal defense lawyer John W. Tumelty is launching this $1,000 scholarship essay contest because he knows the power of a college degree. He believes, in this economy, smart, hard-working students can use some help paying for that important education.
Ready to apply? Simply write and submit a 300 to 500-word essay by April 30, 2015 on the following topic:
What are your career goals and how will a college degree help you achieve those goals?

This scholarship essay contest is open only to high school seniors in Atlantic and Cape May counties in New Jersey who are seeking to enroll in a four-year college in the fall of 2015.
*Applications will be accepted through noon on Thursday, April 30. Three finalists will be announced on the website, social media, and via email (to the three winners) by 5 p.m. April 30, 2015. The final winner of the $1,000 John W. Tumelty Academic Achiever Scholarship will be chosen by the law firm’s staff and will be announced on JohnTumeltyCriminalDefense.com as well as on the law firm’s social media platforms on May 22, 2015 by 5 p.m. All decisions will be final.
